Nature Wise, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3), not-for-profit organization founded in the State of Florida in January 2006, for the purpose of producing conservation awareness & educational television programs and videos and distributing them throughout the state of Florida. Prior to its creation, similar half-hour conservation television programs were produced by Tracy McCommon, founder of Nature Wise, Inc., under her company Positive Productions. After the production of the first 8 television programs under Positive Productions (in partnership with Orange TV) beginning in 2003, Tracy decided to apply for not-for-profit status under Nature Wise, Inc., to secure additional funding sources, improve program distribution and to ensure uninterrupted production of the programs.
