"WILDLIFE MATTERS HOST"

Tracy McCommon is the host of the “Wildlife Matters” TV series and President & Founder of Nature Wise, Inc. Tracy has 2 Bachelors of Arts degrees. She received her 1st Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology with a background in Advertising from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania in 1985. She received her 2nd Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Radio/Television Communications from the University of Central Florida in 1993.

Tracy moved to Florida in 1989 and since receiving her 2nd degree in Radio/Television Communications from UCF has worked both in radio and television in Orlando, Florida. She began working in radio in 1992 at Christian radio station WAJL 1190 AM as a secretary while finishing her 2nd degree and quickly worked her way up to Operations Manager and Production Director. She then began her television career working at WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando as an assistant in the “Action Office” of the newsroom. Next she worked at WMFE Ch 24 a PBS station in Orlando where she worked her way up from Production Assistant to Associate Producer to Producer. She then worked at Orange TV Ch 9, the local government access station in Orange County, Florida where she finally got her own TV program called “Pet Chat” (which she hosted and produced) designed to make citizens better pet owners.

She began hosting and producing the “Wildlife Matters” series in 2002 as a freelancer with her company Positive Productions

working in partnership with Orange TV. In January of 2006 she founded the non-profit organization Nature Wise, Inc. which

took over production of the “Wildlife Matters” series in order to secure additional funding sources, improve program distribution

and ensure uninterrupted production of the programs as well as produce other conservation documentaries slated for future

production and distributed throughout Florida.

Tracy has always had a strong passion for conservation and the preservation and protection of native wildlife. She believes that since these animals can not speak for themselves, they need advocates to seek to understand them, preserve them, and stand-up for their protection.

The protection of wildlife and our natural environment is why Tracy got into television production in the first place. To help those

who need a voice. It took her years to work her way up to being able to serve not only wildlife populations but human populations

as well through the “Wildlife Matters” TV series and she hopes all who visit the Nature Wise website and all who see the

“Wildlife Matters” TV programs and other conservation documentaries produced by Nature Wise will get involved in helping

to preserve our native Florida.
