Our Mission
The heart of Nature Wise Inc. is to improve the environment through the production and distribution of educational television programs and videos. These programs and videos inform the public about environmental concerns and educate viewers on ways they can help to improve the living conditions of animals, plants and ultimately people.

The Need
Over the last 30 years, Florida's population has doubled, reaching approximately 18 million in 2008. This staggering growth has resulted in the destruction of 50 THOUSAND ACRES of wildlife habitat each year. No less than 31 species of animals and plants have already become extinct within the state, and another 117 animals and 314 plant species are currently listed as endangered, threatened or of special concern. The U.S. Census Bureau projects that Florida will gain more than 12 million people over the next 25 years, making it the third fastest growing state behind Nevada and Arizona. Studies show that 59% of Floridians feel this is a "very serious problem!"

BUT FLORIDA IS NOT ALONE! Uncontrolled development resulting in land degradation and diminishing natural resources is evident across the United States.  If we persist in our neglect of this country's native flora and fauna, we will not only suffer the irretrievable loss of our natural heritage, but we will profoundly compromise human quality of life as we render ourselves vulnerable to a myriad of biological, social, spiritual and economic harms.

Our Answer
History shows us that when civilizations disregard the limits of their natural environment they collapse. As American citizens we are responsible for exercising wise stewardship of the land by striving toward “self-sustaining” rather than “self-destructive" environmental practices. Fortunately, people today care more than ever about our natural resources . . . they simply need the tools to participate in conservation efforts. Nature Wise is committed, through the television shows and videos we produce, to inform our viewers about environmental challanges and offer practical steps they can take to preserve and conserve our bountiful heritage.
